The mentioned date of Oct. 16th for the workout was an error.
We will not be holding anymore Oregon Junior Elite Team Workouts.
However, for those who are interested, are welcome to come and train with our advanced students on Friday afternoon classes.
The classes are held at the Beaverton school on first three Fridays of each month from 5:30 to 6:45PM.
The training will consist of the same caliber of the JET workouts.
The classes are welcome to any students that are red belts and higher. There are no fees or team commitments; just hard work.
The goals of the Oregon Junior Elite TKD Team are:
- To provide a non-bias environment for junior competitor to grow and develop, consistent with their goals and dreams, related to Taekwondo competition.
- To offer junior competitors an opportunity to be competitive by training with, and learn from, some of the most knowledgeable and experienced competitors and trainers available.
- To offer a training platform where junior competitors will be faced with situations and challenges to make good decision that lead to winning habits.
- To assist in developing relationship and camaraderie among state competitors that will be felt for a lifetime.
- To assist in helping junior competitors see and feel the joy of pure sport and the true meaning of competition.
- To create and develop a successful competition team.
- To provide opportunities for junior red belts and brown belts to learn and train with the best athletes in the state and to have greater advancement opportunities as State Representative.
The Oregon Junior Elite Team is a great opportunity not just for athletes. It is also a chance for instructors to step forward and become more directly involved in the development of Taekwondo in Oregon State. We invite all instructors to share their ideas and knowledge and to work with us in solidifying the strength of our state association and its athletes.
The Oregon State USAT is "your" state association - we encourage everyone to be an active, participating member.
